Staying with your dog

Dogs are very welcome at Eastacott Barton, but we do have some rules to ensure that everyone (both dogs and guests) enjoy their stay and we keep the accommodation in five star condition.

We allow a maximum of two dogs in Stable and two dogs in Harebell (4 dogs in total if you rent both properties).  Dogs must be housetrained and over the age of one years old.  There is no extra charge for bringing dogs.

It is our strong preference that dogs do not sit on the furniture, however we are aware that, if the rules are different at home, this is hard to enforce when away.  If you therefore cannot stop your dog from wanting to join you for a cuddle on the sofa, please use the large dog blankets provided to cover the sofas before allowing them up.  This helps keep the furniture clean for other guests.

Please do not allow dogs upstairs or on the beds.

Please do not leave dogs alone or unattended in the property unless crated or shut in the utility room.  We have a small and medium size crate available to borrow if required.

Both properties have large utility rooms with drains in the floor and there are numerous outside taps/hoses to clean your dog after a wet or muddy walk.

We ask that you pick up after your dog and dispose of all dog waste in the allocated dog waste bin.

In each property we provide a small dog bed, dog towels, blankets for the furniture, poop bags, dog bowls and spare leads.  We also leave a ‘Welcome Doggy Bag’ with treats.  Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog or dogs with you so we can ensure all these items are made available to you.
